From field to table, SOYLEIC® is a functional, sustainable, non-GMO
way to eliminate trans fats and
provide healthier oil.

Soybean oil from SOYLEIC® soybeans is the best of both worlds: the functionality and performance that soy oil is known for, but with a high oleic fat profile that naturally eliminates trans fats. SOYLEIC® is the result of years of conventional soybean breeding, making it a non-GMO choice as well.

Z

Functionality

The versatility and neutral taste of soybean oil made it one of the most popular vegetable oils used in food around the world. With bans and regulations around trans fats and partially hydrogenated oils, the introduction of high oleic soybean oil is a welcomed addition to the food industry. SOYLEIC® provides an ideal, easy to incorporate solution for shortenings without partial hydrogenation, eliminating the presence of trans fats.
Z

Non-GMO

The discovery of a unique trait in a field of high oleic soybeans led to the creation of SOYLEIC®. It was not created through gene editing or genetic engineering, making it a non-GMO option for high oleic soybeans. While scientists wholeheartedly agree that GMOs are safe for food use and consumption, consumers want to have choices when making food decisions.
Z

Performance

High oleic soybean oil is a high-stability oil, providing a neutral flavor profile and extended shelf life. Its ability to be used at high temperatures results in lower oil absorption making it an ideal oil for frying. Additionally, SOYLEIC® has a longer fry life, allowing longer times between oil changes and reducing waste oil.

According to the US Soybean Export Council’s sourcing guide, when compared to Vistive® Gold and Plenish® high oleic products, SOYLEIC® has the highest oleic oil content available, providing the greatest stability. (USSEC High Oleic Soy Sourcing Guide)

Z

Health

High oleic soybean oil carries a qualified FDA heart health claim recognizing that it can lower cholesterol and may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease. It also has lower saturated fat and three times the amount of beneficial monounsaturated fatty acids compared to conventional vegetable oils contributing to lower blood pressure and cardiovascular health.

Soybean oil is recognized as a source of omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids. Soybean oil is non-allergenic when highly refined – as is common in most food manufacturing applications.

Z

Sustainability

SOYLEIC® is made from U.S. soybeans, grown with advancing sustainability practices by American farmers. In the past 40 years, soybean farmers have reduced the energy it takes to raise a bushel of soybeans by 35 percent. American soybean farmers are using tools like precision agriculture to apply fertilizer only where it is needed; they are increasing soil health by minimizing tillage and adding organic matter to their fields; and farmers are increasing the biodiversity on their farms by incorporating protected acres for wildlife and native plants. Using U.S. soybean oil helps meet your sustainability promises to your customers. With a longer fry life, SOYLEIC® reduces waste oil and the associated environmental impacts associated with its disposal.
Z

Transparency

Consumers are increasingly concerned with knowing what’s in their food and where it came from. The identity-preserved systems that help SOYLEIC® deliver performance and functionality also enable full traceability from farm to fork.
Z

High Oleic and Food-Grade Meal

Because they can be grown in identity-preserved systems, SOYLEIC® soybeans provide an excellent option for traditional soyfoods as well as functional ingredients like full fat soy flour. The high oleic, low saturated fat profile contributes to healthier versions of these foods and ingredients.
